Around the NFL: Davis Allen
Somewhat overshadowed in the Rams' narrow playoff loss at Detroit was a significant personnel loss, with Tyler Higbee tearing both his ACL and MCL in that late January game. Very unlikely he'll be ready for the start of the season, giving Davis Allen some appeal. more »

Fantasy Index Weekly: NFC Championship: Los Angeles Rams
The NFC's top 3 seeds are gone, giving the No. 4 Rams this game at home. But the matchup isn't great. Even setting aside San Francisco winning six straight in the series, the 49ers have one of the league's best defenses: 4th in yards allowed, and 9th in points. The Rams averaged exactly 3 TDs per game during the season, and that looks like their ceiling this week. more »

Factoid: High on Higbee
The Rams face the Bears in Week 1. It's a great situation for their defense, certainly, and also for getting a win. They beat Chicago 24-10 last year, with the Bears' only touchdown coming on a defensive score. Nice matchup for Tyler Higbee, too. more »

Around the NFL: Rams tight ends
A story in The Athletic indicates that the Rams are unlikely to bring back free agent tight end Gerald Everett (pictured). They've got Tyler Higbee under contract for the next several seasons, so they'll likely go with a cheap option as their 2nd tight end. Fourth-rounder Brycen Hopkins, most likely. Should be a good thing for both veterans. more »

Around the NFL: Los Angeles Rams
Particularly early in camp, we see a lot of players popping off in interviews, making eye-rolling claims. Add Gerald Everett to that list. He thought it would be a good idea to suggest he and Tyler Higbee could be a better pair of tight ends than what coach Sean McVay worked with in Washington (Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis). more »
