Around the NFL: Giants running backs

Saquon Barkley is the top pick in most fantasy drafts, and it makes sense. He's the main man in the Giants ground game and will very possibly lead the team in receptions too (a year ago his 91 were 14 more than 2nd-ranked Odell Beckham). Protecting that pick with the proper handcuff is iffier.   more »

Giants place RB Stewart on IR

Around the NFL: Jonathan Stewart on last legs?

Saquon Barkley is a first-round pick in fantasy drafts, and it wouldn't be terribly surprising if he doesn't come off the field very often this season. The Giants gave Jonathan Stewart a two-year, $6.9 million contract in March, with $3 million guaranteed, but that looked bad at the time and even worse now.   more »

Giants RB Barkley a pretty good receiver too

New York Giants running back SAQUON BARKLEY was catching everything in sight at a recent team minicamp for rookies. Last season, Giants running backs SHANE VAREEN and WAYNE GALLMAN were rankedMore 30th and 31st of the 32 qualifying running backs in yards per catch. It looks like there’s nowhere to go but up for the Giants and Barkley appears to be up to the task. Less
