Lamar Jackson, Ravens finally agree to five-year extension

Star Baltimore quarterback LAMAR JACKSON and the Ravens have agreed in principle to a five-year contract extension. Negotiations have been ongoing for about two years, with the breakthrough finally coming on the first day of the 2023 NFL Draft. Jackson reportedly is now the highest-paid player in NFL history. His deal is supposedly worth $260 million, for an average of $52 million per year. It tops the extension recently signed by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback JALEN HURTS. As part of the deal, Jackson will receive $185 million in total guarantees, which is $6 million more than Hurts received.
