Around the NFL: Sunday Night Recap

If you like fumbles, boy do I have a game for you. What looked to be the ‘Game of the Week’ ended up being yet another Cowboys’ multi-score victory. Sunday’s game marked the eighth time this season that the Cowboys have won by two or more touchdowns. They look phenomenal on both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, the Eagles didn’t score an offensive touchdown this game, which marks the first time in 95 regular-season games.  more »

I was surprised when I saw the line for the Eagles-49ers game. Philadelphia – 10-1 and playing at home – opened as 2.5-point underdog. And now the spread has moved to 3 points.   more »

Eagles run over Vikings on TNF

After a slow start that included a chorus of boos from the home crowd, the Philadelphia Eagles shifted to a more run-oriented attack that the Minnesota Vikings couldn’t stop on ThursdayMore Night Football. Eagles running back D’ANDRE SWIFT had fantasy owners in full panic mode after Week #1, with only two touches in the entire game. Swift rewrote the script on Thursday night, rushing for 175 yards and a touchdown while filling in for an injured KENNETH GAINWELL. Bears LB Edwards sees similarities between Fields, Hurts

Chicago linebacker T.J. EDWARDS says that Bears quarterback JUSTIN FIELDS has similarities with Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback JALEN HURTS. Edwards witnessed Hurts’ breakout season in 2022 as a member of theMore Eagles before signing this offseason with the Bears. Edwards said that Fields has been “very accurate” throughout OTAs and minicamp, while also noting that he doesn’t get rattled which he compared to Hurts’ “calm and collected” approach. Lamar Jackson, Ravens finally agree to five-year extension

Star Baltimore quarterback LAMAR JACKSON and the Ravens have agreed in principle to a five-year contract extension. Negotiations have been ongoing for about two years, with the breakthrough finally coming onMore the first day of the 2023 NFL Draft. Jackson reportedly is now the highest-paid player in NFL history. His deal is supposedly worth $260 million, for an average of $52 million per year. It tops the extension recently signed by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback JALEN HURTS. As part of the deal, Jackson will receive $185 million in total guarantees, which is $6 million more than Hurts received. Less

Eagles, QB Hurts agree to massive 5-year contract extension

The Philadelphia Eagles announced earlier this week that quarterback JALEN HURTS and the team have agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension through the 2028 NFL season. The five-year, $255More million contract extension makes Hurts the highest-paid player on an annual basis in NFL history. Hurts’ deal has just over $179 million in guarantees and includes the chance to earn an additional $15 million in incentives, meaning he can make over $278 million through 2028. Less
