Chargers WR Williams out for season with torn ACL

The Los Angeles Chargers will be without wide receiver MIKE WILLIAMS for the remainder of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Williams was injured after making a catch late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. An MRI scan on Williams’ left knee revealed the extent of the injury. With Williams out for the remainder of the season, the Chargers are expected to rely more on rookie first-round draft pick QUENTIN JOHNSTON and JOSHUA PALMER alongside veteran KEENAN ALLEN.
