TE Kyle Pitts Limited By A Hamstring Injury

Pro Bowl tight end Kyle Pitts gets a chance to resurrect his career after the Atlanta Falcons have invested in quarterback by signing Kirk Cousins and drafting Michael Penix Jr. However, his availability for the team’s season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers might be questioned after his recent injury.

In a recent press conference, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris confirmed that a hamstring injury will limit Pitts at practice. Since hamstring injuries are tricky to deal with, it’s uncertain when he will return in great shape. However, despite his limited participation, Pitts shared with The Athletic’s Josh Kendall that he will be ready for their 2024 season opener.

Pitts has experienced the highs and lows in his three seasons in Atlanta. He earned a Pro Bowl selection during his rookie season after tallying 68 receptions for 1,026 yards and a touchdown.

Unfortunately, his 2022 campaign is a stark contrast to his first year. A knee injury limited him to ten games, and he finished with 356 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The tight end from Florida bounced back last year, tallying 53 receptions for 667 yards and three touchdowns.

Pitts will play an essential role for a franchise that last made the playoffs in 2017. Therefore, having him healthy could boost the Falcons’ chances of making a postseason return.
