Dynasty Leagues: Long-term TE rankings

Jake Ferguson can be used as evidence that there is some value in watching the preseason games. Entering camp, it was up in the air whether Ferguson, Luke Schoonmaker or maybe even Peyton Hendershot would be the most productive tight end for the Cowboys.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term tight end rankings

Kyle Pitts is supposed to be the next big thing at tight end – a mismatch nightmare who can look like Calvin Johnson went he splits out wide. But how long are we supposed to wait for the dividends to kick in? We’re into his third season, and he’s still more of a prospect rather than an actual producer.   more »

Around the NFL: Kyle Pitts

A comment I've seen a few times in fantasy circles is people wondering if this will be the year that Kyle Pitts breaks out. It's not entirely fair, with him having gone over 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie, but then last year was a huge disappointment.   more »

QB Ridder expects Falcons offense to be “explosive” in 2023

Atlanta Falcons quarterback DESMOND RIDDER said this week that his supporting cast will make his job “a lot easier” this season, adding that he thinks the offense is “gonna be prettyMore explosive” in 2023. With a young core of wide receiver DRAKE LONDON, tight end KYLE PITTS, and running backs BIJAN ROBINSON and TYLER ALLGEIER, Ridder appears to have no shortage of talent at his disposal. If the Falcons offense proves to be what Ridder thinks it can be, the Falcons could have a good shot at rising to the top of a wide open division. Less

Scheduletron: Falcons rising?

Post draft, we can start identifying some of the teams and offenses that we feel will outperform expectations. The Falcons, I think, look like one of them. They’ve been loading up on talent, and they’re in the right division in the right conference.   more »

Factoid: Kyle Pitts

I find Kyle Pitts to be a hard player to grade. He’s really talented, but they haven’t got him rolling yet. Last year, they didn’t even try to use him all that much – 28 catches for 356 yards and 2 TDs in 10 games. What the heck?   more »

Falcons TE Pitts’ recovery on schedule

Atlanta Falcons tight ends coach Justin Peelle said on Monday that tight end KYLE PITTS’ recovery from knee surgery is currently “on schedule”. Pitts suffered an MCL tear against the ChicagoMore Bears in Week #11 that eventually required surgery. The typical timeline for an MCL repair is approximately 2-3 months. If his rehab is proceeding as scheduled, Pitts should be back to full health well before OTAs and training camp kick off. Less

Falcons young core finishes strong

While the Atlanta Falcons will sit out the 2022 NFL playoffs, the team looks poised for greater things moving forward in both fantasy football and the real version. Rookie quarterback DESMONDMore RIDDER threw his first 2 NFL touchdown passes in Sunday’s season finale while fellow rookie TYLER ALLGEIER finished the season with the most rushing yards by a rookie running back in franchise history. Wide receiver DRAKE LONDON also broke KYLE PITTS’ record for most receptions by a rookie. Less

Falcons place TE Pitts on injured reserve

Atlanta Falcons tight end KYLE PITTS was placed on injured reserve on Monday, meaning that he will miss at least the next four games after suffering an apparent MCL injury inMore Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. It has been reported that surgery is “likely” for Pitts MCL injury, although Falcons coach Arthur Smith said nothing has been confirmed as Pitts is still seeing doctors and getting opinions about a potential tear and the severity of it. Pitts injured the knee in the third quarter of Sunday’s game at the end of a catch-and-run when he was tackled just above the knee. Less

Falcons TE Pitts dealing with bad hammy

Atlanta Falcons tight end KYLE PITTS missed a second consecutive practice on Thursday as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. As fantasy owners are well aware, Pitts is offMore to a slow start this season so the bad hammy could not have come at a worse time. Fantasy owners will want to monitor his status on Friday and hopefully Pitts will be available for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Less

Falcons turn to running game in win vs. Browns

The Atlanta Falcons used a three-headed rushing attack in Sunday’s win against the Cleveland Browns. Veteran running back CORDARRELLE PATTERSON and youngster CALEB HUNTLEY each rushed for a touchdown, while rookieMore running back TYLER ALLGEIER led the team in rushing with 84 yards on just ten carries. The focus on the running game left KYLE PITTS owners disappointed once again, as the tight end caught just one pass for 25 yards. Less

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term TE rankings

Kyle Pitts has caught only one touchdown in his first 20 games as a pro. But he’s probably still the first tight end you would take in a dynasty league – with teams not only getting players for this season but for as long as they choose to keep them around.   more »
