The Jacksonville Jaguars reached the playoffs two seasons ago after a four-year drought. They showed promise during that postseason stint, going as far as the Divisional Round against the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. However, that positive development seems a distant memory, given what has happened to the AFC South franchise.
As the official Bleacher Report account on X/Twitter pointed out, the Jaguars are the only team without a victory in the 2024 NFL season. What’s frustrating is that three of their four losses were by one possession. They lost by three points to the Miami Dolphins during their season-opener, five to the Cleveland Browns in Week 2, and four to the Houston Texans in Week 4. In Week 3, the Buffalo Bills gave Jacksonville a 37-point beatdown.
Their 0-4 record quickly puts them in last place in their division. Worse yet, the Jaguars have lost nine straight games with Trevor Lawrence as the starting quarterback. He last won for the Jaguars on Nov. 27, 2023, leading them to victory over the Texans.

Conversely, Lawrence has struggled for Jacksonville to start the 2024 season, as proven by his 53.3 completion percentage. As a consolation, he has four touchdown passes against one interception.
It must also be noted that three of Jacksonville’s first four games were on the road. Therefore, Lawrence and the Jaguars must perform better as they embark on a four-week home stand versus the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, and Green Bay Packers. This schedule is an excellent opportunity for the Jaguars to turn their season around, especially with their schedule featuring alternate home and away games after their Oct. 27 home game against the Packers.
