The National Football League has announced that Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry, Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr., and Indianapolis Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez are the American Football Conference’s best players for Week 6 of the 2024 season.
Henry was the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after tallying 24 carries for 132 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Washington Commanders. His second touchdown had the Ravens up by 13 points, a lead that the Commanders couldn’t surmount. Henry’s performance against Washington gives him a league-leading 704 rushing yards with eight touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Anderson was the AFC Defensive Player of the Week after collecting a team-leading eight tackles (four for negative yardage) and three sacks against the New England Patriots. He has registered a sack in three of the Houston Texans’ first six games this season. He has 5.5 sacks, two away from league leader Aidan Hutchinson.
Finally, Sanchez is the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, averaging 54.2 yards in his five punts against the Tennessee Titans. Two of his attempts landed inside the Titans’ 20-yard line. Through six games, Sanchez is averaging 50.4 yards per punt attempt and has landed 17 tries inside the opponent’s red zone.

Henry and the Ravens will proceed to Week 7, facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. Meanwhile, Anderson and the Texans will visit the Green Bay Packers. Sanchez and the Colts will host the Miami Dolphins.
