The National Football League has announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker, Detroit Lions defensive back Brian Branch, and Chicago Bears tight end/long snapper Cole Kmet are the National Football Conference’s best players for Week 6 of the 2024 season.
Tucker didn’t disappoint as he stepped into the plate as Tampa Bay’s starting running back. The NFC Offensive Player of the Week finished their matchup versus the New Orleans Saints with 14 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown. However, the second-year player from Syracuse wasn’t done, as he contributed 56 receiving yards and another touchdown. His 12 points are part of the 51-point barrage the Buccaneers imposed on their NFC South division rivals.
Meanwhile, Branch had six tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble during the Lions’ 47-9 domination of the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. The NFC Defensive Player of the Week added two passes defended and a quarterback hit in the impressive victory.
Finally, Kmet made five successful long snaps during their match against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England. In addition to playing a dual role, the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week had five catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns as the Bears’ starting tight end. His 12 points helped Chicago dominate Jacksonville 36-15.
