Through the first ten weeks of the 2024 NFL season, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has earned three Player of the Week awards. However, his stellar Week 11 Thursday Night Football stat line against the Washington Commanders could earn him a fourth.
Barkley dominated the Commanders with 26 carries for 146 yards and a touchdown. He could have had another touchdown if he wasn’t tackled on the one-yard line. However, he still tallied his eighth 100-yard performance in ten games. The two-time Pro Bowler added two catches for 52 yards.
After this game, Barkley leads the league in carries (197) and rushing yards (1,137). He’s only the second Eagles running back (after LeSean McCoy) to have at least 1,000 yards in ten games. Meanwhile, his eight rushing touchdowns are third behind Derrick Henry’s 12 and Jalen Hurts’ 11. Barkley has also rushed for 46 first downs, which is third-most in the league.

More importantly, his Week 11 output helped the Eagles take the lead in the NFC East while defeating a division rival. On a macro scale, the Eagles have won six straight games and haven’t lost after their bye.
The former Penn State standout feels home in his first season with the Eagles. He is making a massive impact while helping A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith increase their numbers. Barkley and the Eagles can keep their winning streak by scoring a road victory over the Los Angeles Rams next week.
