Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase Finish With Impressive Seasons

The Cincinnati Bengals have done their part, winning their final three regular-season games to keep their playoff hopes alive. However, after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs, the Denver Broncos claimed the final spot in the AFC postseason.

While the Bengals finished the season at 9-8, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase completed fantastic campaigns. Burrow finished his campaign with 4,918 passing yards, 43 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions. In addition to completing 70.6 percent of his passes, he added 201 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Burrow also guided the Bengals to a five-game winning streak to close the season.

Conversely, Ja’Marr Chase became only the second player since 2005 to lead the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), and receiving touchdowns (17).

While the duo has been exceptional, the Bengals' defense failed to pull their weight. Cincinnati ranks 25th in total yards allowed (348.3), 21st in passing yards allowed (223.5), and 19th in rushing yards allowed (124.8) per game. The Bengals also allowed 25.5 points per game, 25th in the league.

With their season over, the Bengals must answer some significant concerns. They must find a replacement for fired defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo and decide what to do with wide receiver Tee Higgins.
