Dynasty Leagues

Dynasty rankings for tight ends

Pitts, others, could be headed for new addresses in 2026

The Falcons at this point are playing out the string, but it’s not a meaningless final month of the season for Kyle Pitts. He’s going to be a free agent in March, and I wonder how he might plug into a different offense in a different city. I would think somebody will want to take a chance on him.

I could see Pitts finishing this season with an uptick. He’s played three games with Kirk Cousins this year, and he’s caught 7 and 9 passes in two of them. And the Falcons won’t have Drake London tomorrow, probably causing them to look more to Pitts.

I’m not promising Pitts will put up top-10 tight end numbers next year (I don’t think he will). But in a dynasty league, I would think he should be rostered as a second tight end, with the hope that better days might be ahead.

Other tight ends who are in the final years of their contracts, creating the possibility they could wind up at new addresses, include Dallas Goedert and David Njoku. With both, I would rather see them play somewhere new rather than return to their current situations. Both, I think, have the potential to be a notch better statistically if used differently.

Darren Waller, Zach Ertz and Noah Fant are also in the final years of their contracts. With Waller, I don’t think he’ll find a coach who’s friendlier for him than Mike McDaniel. Ertz is 35 (is he even playing next year?). And Fant is more of a contributor than a guy who’ll ever be putting up notable stats.

My stab at a tight end list for dynasty leagues appears below. With there being only five weeks left in the season, I’m focusing more on 2026-plus rather than the current season. Travis Kelce, for example, would be a top-10 tight end right now, but I’ve got him down at 31st (I don’t think he’s playing next year).

For these rankings, I’m thinking PPR scoring and about 12 teams, with each is rostering about three tight ends, controlling their rights indefinitely. So there are a few stabs at youngsters who ain’t much now but might be something in the future: Terrance Ferguson (25th), Gunnar Helm (26th) and Elijah Arroyo (33rd).

I turn my attention to dynasty leagues every Saturday, rotating between the four notable positions. Normally with these rankings, I tag rookies with black dots, but for this one, I’ve got the black dots on players who’ll be free agents next year. The final column shows how much the player has moved since we last looked at tight ends four weeks ago.
