Veteran QB Smith announces retirement

Veteran quarterback ALEX SMITH announced his NFL retirement on Monday after a 16-year career in the league. Smith started his professional career as the top overall pick in the 2005 NFLMore Draft. He was named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2020 after making an improbable return from a gruesome leg injury suffered in November of 2018.
