Around the NFL: Beckham uncertain for Giants opener

Factoid: New York Giants

I don’t expect I’ll come close to drafting either Brandon Marshall or Evan Engram this year. With Engram, I just don’t like rookie tight ends. And with both of these players, I think they’ll face an uphill battle trying to see enough targets, given the depth of New York’s receiving corps.   more »

Jets WR Anderson has No. 2 role, for now

With ERIC DECKER and BRANDON MARSHALL both gone, New York Jets second-year receiver ROBBY ANDERSON enters training camp as the No. 2 wideout behind QUINCY ENUNWA. While Anderson showed an abilityMore to get deep last season, he is dealing with legal issues that could hold him back this season. Adding to the uncertainty is the Jets quarterback situation, which will likely also limit Anderson’s fantasy potential. Less

Around the NFL: Brandon Marshall

Brandon Marshall with the Giants is an interesting case. He definitely won't be the No. 1; the question is whether he'll be the No. 2. The Giants have Sterling Shepard in his second season. They'll also throw to other players, having added Evan Engram in the draft, and they like to throw to their running backs.   more »

Factoid: Bounce-back receivers

A lot of wide receivers this season are coming off lousy years. Brandon Marshall, DeAndre Hopkins and Allen Robinson, most notably, all were really good two years ago, and they all fell really short of expectations last year. Can any of these guys rebound?  more »

Factoid: Brandon Marshall

Brandon Marshall is on the market. If anybody wants an experienced pro with 100-catch seasons for three different teams, he’s available. But I don’t think Marshall is an “elite” wide receiver anymore.  more »

Decker the next Jets WR to be released?

New York Jets wide receiver ERIC DECKER could be following BRANDON MARSHALL out the door this offseason. The Jets could save $5.75 million against the cap by cutting Decker, who is working his way back from injury and doesn’t seem to fit with the team’s current youth movement.
