Lions likely to be without top offensive weapons vs. Seahawks

Swift said on Wednesday that he rolledMore his ankle in the second quarter of the Lions season opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Factoid: Running backs on bad teams

Yesterday I ran a table of the No. 1 wide receivers on the league's worst teams -- the 46 teams since 2000 that won 3 or fewer games. Since I had those teams assembled, I thought I'd look at how the No. 1 running backs on those teams performed in those seasons. The results were surprising.   more »

Scheduletron: Strength of schedule

One of the problems with strength of schedule is that it’s based on last year. Teams change, so it doesn’t really make sense to calculate schedule difficulty over what they used to be.  more »

Lots of stories these days about players being in the best shape of their lives, and either slimming down (for more speed) or bulking up (for more durability). D'Andre Swift is one of the latter examples; the Lions back was looking to add more muscle. He looks pretty ripped in the picture, from OTAs.
