Bears RB Montgomery on track for season opener

Chicago Bears running back DAVID MONTGOMERY is expected to be in the lineup against the Detroit Lions for Sunday’s season opener. Montgomery injured his groin during training camp and has been working his way back. After a limited practice on Wednesday, Montgomery was able to practice in full on Thursday.

Bears RB Montgomery could miss start of season

Chicago running back DAVID MONTGOMERY suffered a groin injury in practice on Wednesday and initial reports indicate that he is likely to miss 2 to 4 weeks. If Montgomery is closerMore to the short end of the estimated injury timeline, he could return in time to play the season opener on September 13th against Detroit. At worst, it appears that he would miss just two games and be back for the Week #3 matchup against Atlanta. Less

Bears RB Montgomery suffers groin injury in Wednesday practice

Chicago Bears starting running back DAVID MONTGOMERY suffered a groin injury early in practice on Wednesday. Montgomery slipped taking a handoff and went to the ground. He got up holding hisMore left leg and appeared to be in significant pain. Montgomery limped off the field and was eventually carted back to the team facility. Bears RB Montgomery expecting improved season in 2020

Chicago running back DAVID MONTGOMERY said recently that he expects to take a big leap forward in 2020. Montgomery was a third-round draft pick last year that appeared on many fantasyMore football sleeper lists heading into the season.
