Seahawks WR Smith-Njigba to start season on active roster
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA had surgery to repair a fractured wrist, but the team has been optimistic and the rookie wideout will reportedly start the season on the active… More roster and not on injured reserve. While his status for Week #1 is still unknown, the initial estimate of Smith-Njigba missing 3-4 weeks seems to align with the decision to keep him on the active roster to start the season. He is expected to work as the No. 3 receiver on the depth chart behind starters DK METCALF and TYLER LOCKETT. Less

Seahawks rookie WR Smith-Njigba headed for wrist surgery
Seattle Seahawks rookie wide receiver JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA broke a bone in his wrist in Saturday night’s preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys and was scheduled for surgery on Tuesday to repair… More the injury. While Smith-Njigba reportedly could still be ready for the regular season opener on September 10th against the Los Angeles Rams, the surgery will determine how much time he will miss. Factoid: Three's a crowd
I am a Jaxon Smith-Njigba fan. I think he’s the best of the rookie receivers. If I’m walking into a dynasty draft, he would be the first rookie wide receiver I would draft, and it wouldn’t even be close. (I think I’d rather have him than all three of the other wide receivers who went in the first round.) more »

Around the NFL: Brown outs
It’s been a pretty crappy offseason. Let’s be honest. It’s interesting to see guys moving around, getting plugged into new offenses. But most of these transplanted receivers aren’t going to be as successful with their new teams. more »

WR Metcalf, RB Penny tame Lions
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK METCALF caught a career-high 3 touchdown passes in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. Metcalf now has 12 touchdowns on the season, which is also a… More career high. It has been a strange season for the star wide receiver, who went six weeks without a touchdown catch during a mid-season offensive slump. Running back RASHAAD PENNY also had an impressive game, with 170 yards on 25 carries (both career highs) and 2 touchdowns as the oft-injured rusher gears up for free agency. Less
