Bridgewater sticks with Saints

New Orleans backup quarterback TEDDY BRIDGEWATER decided to remain with the Saints as a backup instead of heading to Miami for a possible starting gig. Bridgewater likes the opportunity he has in New Orleans, even though 40-year-old DREW BREES has given no clear indication of when he may eventually retire.

Bridgewater to start for Saints

Backup quarterback TEDDY BRIDGEWATER will start for the New Orleans Saints on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. With the Saints having already clinched the top seed for the playoffs, DREW BREES will get to rest this Sunday.

Watching Drew Brees knock me out of a playoff semifinal (at least I didn't make a bad choice; my alternative was Cam Newton), I was reminded that we often see that Brees is a lot better at home than on the road. Not just Brees; the entire Saints offense tends to be better at home.   more »

Saints offense grounded

Fantasy owners counting on quarterback DREW BREES and wide receiver MICHAEL THOMAS were likely disappointed after Monday night’s effort against the Carolina Panthers. Neither player found the end zone as Brees had another sub-par game after a strong start to the season.

Brees throws 4 touchdowns on Turkey Day

New Orleans quarterback DREW BREES threw 4 touchdowns to lead the Saints and his fantasy owners against the Atlanta Falcons during Thursday night’s Thanksgiving finale. Interestingly, all of his touchdowns went to undrafted players – TOMMYLEE LEWIS, AUSTIN CARR, DAN ARNOLD, and KEITH KIRKWOOD.

Wentz struggles in loss

While New Orleans quarterback DREW BREES was busy leading his fantasy owners with 4 touchdowns and no interceptions, CARSON WENTZ didn’t do his fantasy owners any favors on Sunday. Wentz failed to throw a single touchdown pass while throwing 3 interceptions on the afternoon.
