Bridgewater sticks with Saints

New Orleans backup quarterback TEDDY BRIDGEWATER decided to remain with the Saints as a backup instead of heading to Miami for a possible starting gig. Bridgewater likes the opportunity he has in New Orleans, even though 40-year-old DREW BREES has given no clear indication of when he may eventually retire.

Factoid: Kamara Chameleon

Watching Drew Brees knock me out of a playoff semifinal (at least I didn't make a bad choice; my alternative was Cam Newton), I was reminded that we often see that Brees is a lot better at home than on the road. Not just Brees; the entire Saints offense tends to be better at home.   more »

Saints offense grounded

Fantasy owners counting on quarterback DREW BREES and wide receiver MICHAEL THOMAS were likely disappointed after Monday night’s effort against the Carolina Panthers. Neither player found the end zone as Brees had another sub-par game after a strong start to the season.

Brees throws 4 touchdowns vs. Eagles

While there were plenty of fantasy points to go around in New Orleans’ win over Philadelphia on Sunday, it was quarterback DREW BREES leading the way once again. Brees feasted on the Eagles’ injury-riddled secondary, throwing 4 touchdowns on behalf of his fantasy owners.

Fantasy News: Passing inside the 10

Cam Newton played poorly last week in Pittsburgh (particularly on the Pick Six throw) but I think he’ll bounce back. He’s in a better offensive system this year, and he’s having a great year.  more »

Usual suspects lead Saints

The New Orleans Saints scored on their first nine possessions in Sunday’s win against the Cincinnati Bengals. That will usually get the job done for fantasy purposes. DREW BREES was his usual self, while ALVIN KAMARA, MARK INGRAM, and MICHAEL THOMAS all made their fantasy owners proud.

Bryant headed to The Big Easy

Veteran free agent wide receiver DEZ BRYANT has finally found a new home. Bryant will join the New Orleans Saints on a one-year deal and he should fit nicely with fellowMore wide receiver MICHAEL THOMAS. It also won’t hurt that quarterback DREW BREES will be throwing him the football. Savvy fantasy owners that stashed Bryant at the end of their benches are smiling today. Less
