Washington plays at Buffalo this week. Is this a good matchup for J.D. McKissic? On the one hand, this looks like a probable loss, with Buffalo looking like one of the AFC’s best teams. Washington made a surprise announcement this morning that it was releasing veteran running back ADRIAN PETERSON. The 35-year-old Peterson had been running with the starters throughout training camp. Lions place RB Johnson on injured reserve

The Detroit Lions placed running back KERRYON JOHNSON on injured reserve on Tuesday with a knee injury. Head coach Matt Patricia confirmed that the Lions running back had surgery, but theMore team is hopeful he can return later in the season. By placing Johnson on IR, he is required to miss at least eight games – making him eligible to return for the team’s December 22nd game against the Denver Broncos.
