Brady goes to Bucs, Winston era ends
The Tampa Bay Bucs signed star quarterback TOM BRADY earlier this week, signaling the end of the rocky JAMEIS WINSTON era. The Bucs threw for more yards than any NFL team… More for the past four seasons, yet they failed to make a single playoff appearance. The Bucs are expected to improve in real football in 2020, with Brady far less likely to surrender field position and pick sixes at the rate that Winston did during his tenure. The fantasy impact will be interesting to follow. Less

Around the NFL: Remaining QB market
Teddy Bridgewater gets a starting job. Neither Philip Rivers nor Tom Brady is riding off into the sunset – they’re playing. And suddenly it’s becoming a buyer’s market for quarterbacks. There are now more available options than teams needing to fill the position. more »

Factoid: Jameis Winston
The Buccaneers are among the teams that could possibly bring in a new starting quarterback, and I’m of the school of thought it will play out that way. Bruce Arians has consistently been throwing shade on Jameis Winston over the last few months. more »

Winston underwent surgery on meniscus
Tampa Bay quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON reportedly underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Winston also dealt with a hairline fracture in his throwing thumb last year and underwent LASIK eye surgery… More after the season. With Winston on the mend heading into free agency, it will be interesting to see if he remains a part of the Bucs future. Less

Winston has eye surgery to improve vision
Tampa Bay quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON recently underwent Lasik surgery to repair nearsightedness - a condition in which a person sees near objects clearly, while objects in the distance are blurred. Ironically,… More Winston did a better job throwing the deep ball this season with accuracy than at any point in his career. Time will tell if Winston’s new and improved vision helps him to cut down on a career-high 30 interceptions. Less

Around the NFL: Philip Rivers
The Chargers are officially parting ways with Philip Rivers, whose passing records for the team will probably last quite a long time. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly interested (though they seem to be interested in virtually every quarterback not named Jameis Winston). Will Rivers be a good free agent catch? more »

Arians says Bucs can win with another QB
Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians was asked on Monday if the Bucs could win with a quarterback other than JAMEIS WINSTON. Arians responded by saying if the team could win… More with this quarterback (Winston), they could definitely win with another one. Yikes. Not exactly a ringing endorsement heading into the 2020 season. Winston became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in a season. Less

Winston earns dubious distinction
Tampa Bay quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON threw 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, including the game-losing pick-six in overtime, against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Winston’s second interception was his 30th of the… More season, making him the only player in NFL history to throw 30-plus touchdowns and 30 interceptions in the same season. Winston also became the first player in Bucs history to pass for more than 5,000 yards in a season. Less

Factoid: Jameis Winston
Jameis Winston at first glance should put up big numbers in Week 17. The Bucs are at home, and they’re playing against an Atlanta defense that’s given up plenty of yards and points. But is there more to this matchup than meets the eye? more »

Winston’s thumb just fine vs. Lions
Tampa Bay quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON did not appear to be bothered by the thumb injury he suffered last weekend, throwing for 458 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Detroit Lions on… More Sunday. Winston threw his usual interception on his second pass of the game, but he bounced back just fine. 3 of his 4 touchdown passes went to a surprising target in wide receiver BRESHAD PERRIMAN, who finished the game with career highs in yards and touchdowns. Unfortunately for the Bucs, they lost a receiver to a injury for the second straight week when CHRIS GODWIN went down with a hamstring pull and did not return to the game. Less

Bucs expect Winston to play vs. Lions
Tampa Bay quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON got good news from a specialist regarding his right thumb injury and he is expected to play on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Winston reportedly suffered… More a “slight crack” in his thumb, and the Bucs may limit him in practice this week. But as for Sunday’s game against Detroit, he appears headed for the starting assignment as long as there are no setbacks during the week. Less

Bucs QB Winston, WR Evans in doubt vs. Lions
Tampa Bay wide receiver MIKE EVANS’ availability for this Sunday’s game against Detroit is in doubt after the star wideout suffered a significant hamstring injury against Indianapolis. While Evans is known… More to be a quick healer, head coach Bruce Arians said his wideout “would be very doubtful for this week”. Quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON suffered a right thumb injury on Sunday but was able to finish the game. Unfortunately for the Bucs, Winston’s thumb was swollen on Monday and he was scheduled to get a “second opinion” on the injury. Less
