Fantasy News: Draft Sharks Invitational

Fantasy leagues, in my opinion, tend to overemphasize running backs. But they’re running a contest at Draft Sharks that corrects a lot of those issues. With their scoring system, you tend to get more balance in the early rounds.  more »

Factoid: Older wide receivers

We have been kicking around lifespans of running backs. That is, when should one start to move away from a featured back because he has too many carries or too many seasons on his odometer? With that in mind, now might be a good time to roll out some of the similar numbers with wide receivers.  more »

Andy Richardson: Thursday Night Recap

Difficult to know where to open on last night's game. "Injured" Dalvin Cook? An incredible game-ending play? Or maybe the least competitive first half of football in recent memory, followed by that sleepwalking team nearly coming all the way back in the second half? It was the best of games, it was the worst of games.   more »

Fantasy News: Goal-line receiving

Adam Thielen isn’t playing tonight. That should translate into more looks for other Minnesota players when the team is around the goal line – guys like Justin Jefferson and Tyler Conklin. But looking at the season-long numbers, those guys have been heavily used as is.  more »

Factoid: Losing vs. passing

I have heard the theory floated a few times over the last month that it can be a good thing to pick pass catchers from lesser teams. If a team is trailing often, the idea goes, it will be passing more, resulting in more catches, yards and touchdowns. It got me wondering if there’s any truth in the notion.  more »
