When a rookie receiver puts up good numbers (like Justin Jefferson last year) the natural tendency is to assume he’s on his way to stardom. That he’ll get even better in his second season, having had a chance to adapt to the pro game and develop a better rapport with his quarterback. But that’s not generally how it tends to play out on the field.  more »

Vikings WR Jefferson breaks rookie record

Minnesota wide receiver JUSTIN JEFFERSON set a new Super Bowl-era (since 1966) record in Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions. The rookie wideout finished the 2020 season with 1,400 receiving yards,More breaking the previous record of 1,377 set by Anquan Boldin back in 2003. Jefferson also passed Minnesota Hall of Famer Randy Moss’ franchise rookie receiving record in Sunday’s game. Cousins, Jefferson lead Vikings comeback vs. Panthers

Veteran quarterback KIRK COUSINS threw 3 touchdowns in Sunday’s comeback win against the Carolina Panthers. While Cousins spread the ball around (4 receivers caught 7 passes each) his preference in the end zone was rookie wide receiver JUSTIN JEFFERSON, who caught 2 touchdown passes in the game.
