Around the NFL: Noah Fant

Perhaps the biggest question with the Broncos, if it's not second-year quarterback Drew Lock, is new coordinator Pat Shurmur. He's bounced around some in recent years, while Denver has had five different coordinators the last five years. Getting the most out of Noah Fant will be one of his goals.   more »

Factoid: Irv Smith Jr.

I have some interest in Irv Smith. He’s not as heralded as the other second-year tight ends (T.J. Hockenson, Noah Fant) but he has some of the same selling points.  more »

Factoid: Sophomore tight ends

It’s not a great year for rookie tight ends (with just one selected in the first 90 picks). But I see a couple of second-year guys who did a good job of getting downfield for chunk plays last year.  more »

Fantasy News: T.J. Hockenson

T.J. Hockenson had a lackluster rookie season, but I’m not giving up on him. He plays a position where guys are far more likely to break out in their second season.  more »

Ian Allan: Noah Fant

Working on a writeup on the Broncos, Noah Fant looks to me like a player to target for 2020. After a nice rookie season, I think he could be ready to move up into the top 10 among tight ends.  more »

Factoid: T.J. Hockenson

The Lions have placed T.J. Hockenson on injured reserve, ending a frustrating rookie season. He started the season with a huge game at Arizona – 131 yards and a touchdown – and that was about it. He averaged 24 yards in his final 11 games, with one touchdown.   more »

Fantasy News: Hall of Fame game

To me, Noah Fant was the biggest “winner” of the first preseason game. I saw enough that I’m moving him up on my board.   more »

Factoid: Rookie tight ends

The preseason games are just around the corner, and one of the first orders of business will be to get eyes on the two Iowa tight ends, T.J. Hockenson and Noah Fant. They’re talented guys – both selected in the first round – but it’s rare for tight ends to put up big numbers in their first year.   more »

Factoid: Rookie tight ends

There are some really good tight ends coming out of college this year. Probably a first-rounder, and perhaps three in the first two rounds. The possibility of one of those guys being drafted by the Patriots (and their six picks in the first three rounds) is particularly enticing after Rob Gronkowski's retirement.   more »
