WFT places TE Thomas on injured reserve
The Washington Football Team placed star tight end LOGAN THOMAS on injured reserve on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. Thomas is expected to miss two or three weeks due to… More the bad hammy. In his place, the Football Team is expected to roll with backup tight end RICKY SEALS-JONES. The Football Team also added depth at the position by signing 2019 third-round pick JACE STERNBERGER off the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad. Less

WFT tight end Thomas “week-to-week” with bad hammy
Washington Football Team tight end LOGAN THOMAS is expected to be “week-to-week” due to a hamstring injury suffered in Sunday’s game against Atlanta. If Thomas is not able to play in… More Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, his snaps would likely be taken by 26-year-old journeyman RICKY SEALS-JONES and rookie fourth-round pick JOHN BATES. Factoid: Browns tight ends
The Browns have placed David Njoku (wrist) on injured reserve. He’ll miss at least the next eight weeks. And while he’s out, I don’t think Cleveland will have a viable play in that tight end spot. more »

Williams is a former second-round draft pick that did not live up to expectations after four years… More in Baltimore. He joins a tight end group that now consists of RICKY SEALS-JONES, CHARLES CLAY, DARRELL DANIELS, seventh-round pick CALEB WILSON, and a couple of undrafted rookie free agents. Less

Around the NFL: Clay to Arizona
Arizona has signed Charles Clay to a one-year contract, and that looks like a solid pickup for him. He won’t put up big numbers, but he’s an experienced pro who should help nudge their offense in the right direction. more »

Around the NFL: Ricky Seals-Jones
Earlier this offseason we mulled the value of Ricky Seals-Jones. He's the likely starter at tight end for Arizona, or at least, the pass catching option even if Jermaine Gresham (Achilles) is healthy. Gresham is more likely the inline blocker. more »
Arizona TE Seals-Jones arrested
Arizona tight end RICKY SEALS-JONES was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of assault, disorderly conduct, and trespassing. The Cardinals are aware of the situation but the team will not comment as the legal process plays out. Depending on the outcome, Seals-Jones could face a suspension from the NFL.
