Andy Richardson: Hype all over the place

I have a journalism background, and I have a lot of respect for what team beat writers do. They're covering players who by and large don't have a lot of desire to talk to them, and trying to extract meaningful information from coaches who act like it's important to shroud everything they do in great secrecy and mystery. And of course they're giving us regular folk glimpses into practices -- which is sometimes useful. And sometimes not.   more »

Kansas City WR Watkins “all over the place”

Kansas City is having new wide receiver SAMMY WATKINS learn all of the wideout positions as they move him “all over the place” in the offense. Head coach Andy Reid saidMore the team has overloaded Watkins in practice and the new wideout has handled everything he’s been given. Watkins isn’t likely to be the focal point of the offense with KAREEM HUNT, TRAVIS KELCE, and TYREEK HILL on board but he should have a role and could certainly be fantasy relevant. Less

Kansas City adds WR Watkins

Free agent wide receiver SAMMY WATKINS is heading to Kansas City for the 2018 season. Watkins will join an offense that already has the NFL’s rushing leader in KAREEM HUNT, and a pair of 1,000-yard receivers in TYREEK HILL and tight end TRAVIS KELCE.

Factoid: 2018 free agency

It looks like a lean offseason for wide receivers. Unlikely that any will be any selected in the top 10 of the draft (maybe none in the top 20). And there aren’t any can’t-miss superstars who are available in free agency.  more »

Watkins frustrated by role in Rams offense

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver SAMMY WATKINS is frustrated with his role in the offense after making just one catch for 17 yards in the past two weeks. While his lackMore of production is partially due to quarterback JARED GOFF spreading the ball around, Watkins and his fantasy owners have greater expectations. Unfortunately, Watkins faces the stingiest corner duo in the NFL this weekend when the Rams face the Jacksonville Jaguars and corners JALEN RAMSEY and A.J. BOUYE. Less
