Rams to sign veteran kicker Maher

The Los Angeles Rams were reportedly finalizing contract details on Wednesday with veteran kicker BRETT MAHER. Maher is well known for missing 4 of 5 extra point attempts in the DallasMore Cowboys playoff win over Tampa Bay last season. Maher did not re-sign with Dallas in the offseason, instead heading to Denver. The Broncos released him on Tuesday after acquiring former New Orleans Saints kicker WIL LUTZ. Saints kicker Lutz out for 2021 season

New Orleans Saints kicker WIL LUTZ suffered a setback during his rehab from a core muscle injury and will miss the rest of the 2021 season. Lutz returned to practice lastMore week and appeared to be on track in his recovery prior to the setback. In his absence, the Saints have tried four kickers with limited success. Undrafted rookie BRIAN JOHNSON is the latest kicker, and he got off to a good start by making two field goals against Seattle in a Monday Night Football victory. Less

The New Orleans Saints released kicker ALDRICK ROSAS on Tuesday after he missed his last three field goals while filling in for the injured WIL LUTZ.
