DK Metcalf keeps racking up big games. If you were starting a dynasty league today, he would probably be the first wide receiver you would select. He’s only 22 years old.

If there are bunch of other great receivers, of course – Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen, Michael Thomas – but all of those guys are 5-6 years older. If I were drafting today, I’d select Metcalf earlier. He might be better, and he’s definitely younger.

In that group of veterans, I’ve got Allen a little higher than Thomas. They’re both great, of course, but with Allen he’ll be working with Justin Herbert. With Thomas, you’ve got more of a quarterbacking question mark in New Orleans.

With dynasty rankings, you’re looking not only at 2020 but also what likely will happen in the next few years. And when a couple of guys are similar in value, you tend to gravitate to the younger players. Like Metcalf.

On these rankings, I’m assuming PPR scoring.

I’ve got the rookies tagged with black dots, and there are five of them in my top 25: Justin Jefferson, Chase Claypool, Tee Higgins, CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aiyuk.

I post a dynasty rankings list of some sort each Saturday, rotating between QB-RB-TE-WR. I last weighed in on wide receivers four weeks ago, and those rankings are included here in the final column. To see other previous from previous weeks, so the “past issues” navigation tools on the right side of the page.

Next week: quarterbacks.
