Vikings WR Jefferson disappears in playoff loss
Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver JUSTIN JEFFERSON led the NFL in catches (128) and yards (1,809) this season, but he was nowhere to be found in Sunday’s playoff loss to the… More New York Giants. The third-year receiver started his first playoff game hot with 5 catches for 37 yards on 5 targets in the first quarter. Unfortunately for the Vikings and his fantasy owners, Jefferson finished the game with just seven catches on nine targets and totaled just 10 receiving yards in the final three quarters. Jefferson, inexplicably, was not targeted at any point in the fourth quarter. Less

Vikings WR Jefferson has career day
Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver JUSTIN JEFFERSON finished Sunday’s comeback win against the Buffalo Bills with a career-best 193 yards on 10 catches, adding a touchdown on behalf of his team… More and his fantasy owners. Jefferson had perhaps the catch of the year, making a one-handed, 32-yard grab on fourth-and-18 on Minnesota’s final drive of regulation. While Jefferson didn’t get any extra fantasy points for the catch, it was impressive, nonetheless. Less

Fantasy News: Draft Sharks Invitational
Fantasy leagues, in my opinion, tend to overemphasize running backs. But they’re running a contest at Draft Sharks that corrects a lot of those issues. With their scoring system, you tend to get more balance in the early rounds. more »

Factoid: Older wide receivers
We have been kicking around lifespans of running backs. That is, when should one start to move away from a featured back because he has too many carries or too many seasons on his odometer? With that in mind, now might be a good time to roll out some of the similar numbers with wide receivers. more »

Andy Richardson: Thursday Night Recap
Difficult to know where to open on last night's game. "Injured" Dalvin Cook? An incredible game-ending play? Or maybe the least competitive first half of football in recent memory, followed by that sleepwalking team nearly coming all the way back in the second half? It was the best of games, it was the worst of games. more »

Fantasy News: Goal-line receiving
Adam Thielen isn’t playing tonight. That should translate into more looks for other Minnesota players when the team is around the goal line – guys like Justin Jefferson and Tyler Conklin. But looking at the season-long numbers, those guys have been heavily used as is. more »
