The Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints will get much-needed boosts as one key player from both teams is expected to return in Week 9. Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson will finally suit up this season, while quarterback Derek Carr could reclaim his starting role.
Hockenson has been out of action since Week 16 of last season after suffering a torn ACL and MCL against his former team, the Detroit Lions. He finished the year with career highs in receptions (95) and receiving yards (960) and was on his way to his first 1,000-yard season.
The Vikings placed Hockenson on the physically unable-to-perform list to start the season, forcing him to miss at least four games. But after opening Hockenson’s practice window, he will finally see action against the Indianapolis Colts. Minnesota could use any help available, especially after losing two consecutive games against the Lions and the Los Angeles Rams.

Meanwhile, Carr is ready to go after recovering from an oblique injury he suffered during their Week 5 Monday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs. At that point, the four-time Pro Bowler had 90 completions for 989 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions. Carr helped the Saints win two of those five games before the injury.
