Cardinals sign veteran WR Green to one-year deal

The Arizona Cardinals announced on Thursday that veteran wide receiver A.J. GREEN is returning for a second season with the team after agreeing to terms on a one-year contract. Green, 33, fit in nicely with the Cardinals last season after spending his first 10 NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.

I was surprised when Arizona signed A.J. Green to a $6 million contract. To me, he looks like he’s done: a 32-year-old who can’t do it anymore. But at least one stat suggests things might not be as dire for Green as I have been thinking.   more »

A.J. Green is hitting free agency, and I’ll be interested to see what kind of interest he generates. If any. A few years back he was one of the league’s true franchise-type receivers, but he’s now 32 and hasn’t been much of a factor for the last two and half seasons.  more »
