Rams QB Wolford, DT Donald non-participants on Monday

After getting roughed up in Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams quarterback JOHN WOLFORD was listed as a non-participant on Monday’s estimated practice report due to a neckMore injury. Wolford is officially considered day-to-day, but he would presumably start Thursday night’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders if he is healthy enough to do so. If not, fellow quarterback BRYCE PERKINS will take over as the starter. Meanwhile, defensive tackle AARON DONALD (ankle) remains out of practice and unlikely to play this week. Less

Factoid: Rams defense

The Rams’ pass rush, I’m thinking, could be key on Sunday. They’re one of the better teams at getting after quarterbacks, and that’s been an issue for the Bengals.   more »

Factoid: T.J. Watt

The NFL handed out its 2020 awards last night, a fairly dull affair with taped messages from players and (obviously) no cheering fans. There was nothing particularly surprising with most of the results, but there was some controversy, if you asked J.J. Watt.   more »

The Rams made it to the Super Bowl with Goff running the offense and Donald leading the defense, but the team ultimately did not think that combo would get them back to that level. Less

Fantasy News: Playoff defenses

Looking at the upcoming games, I don’t see a defense that looks particularly likely to put up big numbers. There are some good ones left, but it’s tough getting many chances to make plays against most of the quarterbacks left in the tournament.  more »

Seahawks RB Carson ready to roll vs. Rams

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer thinks that running back CHRIS CARSON looks healthy and ready to roll heading into Saturday’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. Schottenheimer also indicated that Carson could be used heavily in the passing game against the Rams, much as he was at the start of the regular season. Less

Factoid: Los Angeles defense

For this upcoming weekend, the Los Angeles defense looks better than I would expect. It’s on the road against one of the league’s elite quarterbacks (Russell Wilson) but it’s been able to have some success against him. A lot of success, in fact.  more »
