Factoid: Second-round wide receivers

There were six wideouts selected in the first round this year, and seven more in the second. I notice that three of the teams that drafted wide receivers early this year also used early picks last year: San Francisco, Indianapolis and Philadelphia. Deebo Samuel was a hit; Parris Campbell (pictured) and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside weren't. Should people be giving up on last year's disappointments?  more »

Factoid: Second-round wide receivers

A recent story out of Philadelphia has GM Howie Roseman saying that second-year wideout JJ Arcega-Whiteside needs to step things up this season. No kidding: Arcega-Whiteside caught only 10 passes as a rookie, despite injuries gutting the position for the Eagles. He's one of several 2019 second-rounders that can be said about.   more »

Factoid: Hakeem Butler

I was surprised when Hakeem Butler dropped all the way to the fourth round. He’s a big receiver, and he made a lot of plays at Iowa State. He caught 60 passes and 9 TDs last year, averaging 22 yards per catch.   more »
