Now that Derrius Guice has been released and Washington's other running backs are lightly regarded veterans, it seemed time to take a closer look at rookie Antonio Gibson. In the comments of yesterday's draft thread, there was some discussion of rookie running backs, the ones outside the biggest names. So not Clyde Edwards-Helaire or Jonathan Taylor, who will be selected in the first few rounds of every draft, but the ones available a little later. Washington rookie RB draws lofty comparison
Washington head coach Ron Rivera said recently that rookie running back ANTONIO GIBSON has similar traits to Carolina Panthers All-Pro running back CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY. Rivera would know, having coached McCaffrey for the past two seasons. Washington took Gibson in the third round of the recent NFL Draft.
