Commanders RB Gibson to have role in 2023

The Washington Commanders drafted running back BRIAN ROBINSON last year and eventually installed him as the starting rusher last season. The Commanders drafted another rookie in sixth round running back CHRISMore RODRIGUEZ this year, but head coach Ron Rivera insists that fellow rusher ANTONIO GIBSON will still have a role in 2023. Rivera noted Gibson’s receiving experience coming out of college, as well as the fact that “every nine touches resulted in a touchdown” last year. Time will tell how new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy fits Gibson into the offense. Less
