Factoid: Isiah Pacheco

Isiah Pacheco has been the most impressive of the late-round running backs. With Kansas City not having a proven, reliable player at the position, it’s reasonable to wonder if Pacheco at some point this season could have a decent role in one of the league’s best offenses.  more »

Kansas City RB Jones on roster bubble?

After signing a one-year deal with Kansas City during the offseason, speculation began about running back RONALD JONES having a significant role in the team’s offense. Thus far through training campMore and the preseason, Jones could actually be on the outside looking in after struggling to do much of anything noteworthy. The Kansas City backfield is crowded and, so far, Jones has done little to stand out from the likes of fellow running backs CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE, JERICK MCKINNON, seventh-round rookie ISIAH PACHECO, and holdover restricted free agent DERRICK GORE. Edwards-Helaire heading into 2022 with “sense of urgency”

Kansas City running back CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE has yet to live up to fantasy expectations after two seasons, and he admits there is a “sense of urgency” to reach his potential duringMore his third season with the team. Edwards-Helaire should be helped by the fact that he is fully healthy this offseason for the first time since being selected with the final pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Edwards-Helaire is part of a crowded backfield in Kansas City that should sort itself out during training camp and the preseason. Less

Around the NFL: Jerick McKinnon

Kansas City just re-signed Jerick McKinnon, and that changes the landscape of their backfield. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Ronald Jones are already on that roster, but there could be some games (perhaps many games) where McKinnon is more productive than those guys.  more »

Kansas City RB McKinnon to lead backfield vs. Bills?

Kansas City running back JERICK MCKINNON had a breakout game in last weekend’s Wildcard playoff game and appears set to lead the backfield this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. In anMore interesting turn of events, the oft-injured McKinnon is finally healthy while fellow running backs CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE and DARREL WILLIAMS have been hampered by recent injuries.
