It’s not quite the Lions or Cowboys hosting games on Thanksgiving, but the tradition seems to be for Cincinnati to host an early-season undercard-type game in Prime Time. Sneak it in there early, I think, while viewers are willing to watch any game that has a ball with “NFL” stamped on the side. Jaguars drop veteran RB Johnson

The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped one-time fantasy football sleeper running back DUKE JOHNSON from the practice squad on Thursday afternoon. The Jaguars did not activate the veteran Johnson for the season openerMore against the Houston Texans (his former team), instead electing to have JAMES ROBINSON, CARLOS HYDE, and DARE OGUNBOWALE as the only active running backs. Jaguars re-sign RB Ogunbowale

The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed 26-year-old running back DARE OGUNBOWALE on Tuesday. If Ogunbowale makes the roster in 2021, he’s likely to have little appeal or opportunity behind starting running back JAMES ROBINSON and newly acquired veteran backup CARLOS HYDE.

Jaguars to build around RB Robinson

Jacksonville head coach Urban Meyer said recently that he expects undrafted running back JAMES ROBINSON to be one of the building blocks of the team heading into the 2021 season. MeyerMore said that the Jaguars feel “pretty good” about Robinson, adding that he will be integral part of the team. Robinson is just 159 yards away from breaking Dominic Rhodes’ record (1,328 in 2001)More for most scrimmage yards by an undrafted rookie in the common draft era.
