Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said on Monday that starting quarterback JIMMY GAROPPOLO has been placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Garoppolo’s availability for Sunday’s game against the LosMore Angeles Chargers is uncertain. McDaniels said that he was unsure when Garoppolo suffered the concussion. If he is unable to play against the Chargers, the Raiders will turn to either veteran BRIAN HOYER or rookie AIDAN O’CONNELL. A fourth-round pick out of Purdue, O’Connell played well in the preseason. Las Vegas Raiders quarterback JIMMY GAROPPOLO reportedly underwent an operation on his foot after signing with his new team back in March. A source called it a “clean-up” procedure, and GaroppoloMore is supposedly progressing well in his recovery. Raiders coach Josh McDaniels confirmed on Thursday that Garoppolo wouldn’t be on the field for practice because he hasn’t yet been cleared to participate.
