Bucs coach says WR Jones could have played

Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles revealed that veteran wide receiver JULIO JONES was ready to play in Sunday’s game against Green Bay, but the team decided to keep him onMore the bench as a precaution. Bowles added that the decision was about the long term. Despite coach Bowles’ optimism, Jones is reportedly dealing with a partially torn PCL in his knee. Bucs entire offense questionable for Week #2

OK, so maybe a bit of an exaggeration. But the Tampa Bay Bucs have several key offensive players trying to overcome injuries heading into Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.More Wide receivers MIKE EVANS (calf), JULIO JONES (knee), and CHRIS GODWIN (hamstring) all missed Thursday’s practice for Tampa Bay. Wide receiver RUSSELL GAGE and running back LEONARD FOURNETTE practiced on Thursday, but both were limited by hamstring issues.
