Texans place kicker Fairbairn on injured reserve

The Houston Texans placed kicker KA’IMI FAIRBAIRN on injured reserve on Wednesday, ahead of the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fairbairn missed the final preseason game with what the teamMore called a minor pulled muscle in his leg. The Texans signed fellow kicker JOEY SLYE to the practice squad on Tuesday and it is likely that he will be promoted to the active roster for the season opening game. Texans re-sign kicker Fairbairn

The Houston Texans have re-signed kicker KA’IMI FAIRBAIRN. The contract extension is for four years and makes Fairbairn the third-highest paid kicker in the NFL. Fairbairn went 3-of-4 on field goals in the postseason and connected on 20 of his 25 attempts in the 2019 regular season.

Texans sign new kicker

The Houston Texans will sign kicker NICK ROSE as a short-term replacement for regular kicker KA’IMI FAIRBAIRN. Fairbairn is sidelined with a minor injury that may cause him to miss the Texans upcoming preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.
