The New York Jets signed former Minnesota Vikings running back DALVIN COOK on Monday evening to a one-year deal worth up to $8.6 million. Cook, a second-round pick in 2017, hadMore made the Pro Bowl in each of his past four seasons and had rushed for over 1,135 yards each year. Fellow running back BREECE HALL is still recovering from an ACL injury, although the team has maintained that he could be ready for the start of the regular season. New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said recently that running back BREECE HALL “looks fantastic” as he works his way back from a torn ACL in his left knee sufferedMore in late October last season. Hall is expected to be ready for the season opener, although training camp appears unlikely. The Jets are hopeful that Hall can return to his pre-injury form when he averaged 5.8 yards per carry. Factoid: Jets running backs

There's been optimism about Jets fourth-round running back Michael Carter, and in some respects it's warranted; he's apparently shown well in camp. But it also seems very possible he'll be stuck in a messy committee this season, with Ty Johnson and Tevin Coleman; maybe even LaMical Perine. That's something that should give you pause before selecting Carter in drafts.   more »
