Factoid: Bye Bye Birdies
Didn’t those guys used to be the Philadelphia Eagles? The team that was once sitting at a league-best 10-1 has fallen, and I don’t think they’re going to be able to get up. more »

Factoid: Rachaad White
Rachaad White hasn’t been a big factor as a runner. He’s averaging only 3.3 yards per carry, and the Bucs don’t run it a whole lot. They rank 30th in rushing. But I like they’re doing with him as a pass catcher. more »

Bucs RB Tucker movin’ on up
Tampa Bay Bucs undrafted rookie running back SEAN TUCKER is movin' on up. Maybe not to the east side or to a deluxe apartment in the sky, but up the Tampa… More Bay depth chart. Tucker has been moved up to the second spot behind unquestioned starting running back RACHAAD WHITE. Tucker led the Buccaneers in rushing in the preseason, gaining 81 yards on 23 carries. He also caught five passes for 22 yards. Take note, fantasy owners. Less

Factoid: James Conner
I get nervous selecting running backs from bad teams. If a team or offense is truly putrid, how often is it going to get anywhere close to the end zone? And with that in mind, how good can a running back like James Conner be? more »

Bucs RB White draws high praise from OC Canales
Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Dave Canales said recently that running back RACHAAD WHITE is “a natural” in the team’s new offensive scheme. Canales said that White does “everything” well, adding that… More “he is going to be fantastic” in the offense. White is expected to assume a featured role in the backfield this season, where he will likely use his well-rounded skillset to contribute as both a runner and a receiver out of the backfield. Less

Bucs RB White hopes to eclipse 1,000 yards
RACHAAD WHITE is heading into his second season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers expected to take over as the lead back with LEONARD FOURNETTE no longer in town. White said recently… More that he wanted to do his job and eclipse the 1,000-yard rushing mark, something that has not happened in Tampa Bay since Doug Martin accomplished the feat back in 2015. While White had a solid rookie season, his offensive line is suspect heading into the upcoming season and Tom Brady is no longer around to occupy the attention of opposing defenses. Less

Factoid: Dameon Pierce
I like Dameon Pierce. I understand that he was held back last year by having a lesser cast around him. But I also recognize that teams change. more »

Spotlight: Rachaad White
With the departure of Leonard Fournette, Rachaad White is positioned to step into a three-down role. That makes him a candidate to put up top-20 numbers. more »

Factoid: Tampa Bay
I’m not a big fan of Tampa Bay pass catchers. Tom Brady’s gone, so I think we’re going to see a huge decline in passing there – not only in efficiency but also in volume. more »

Factoid: Bad team backs
I always get nervous selecting running backs from lousy teams – like James Conner, Cam Akers and Rachaad White this year. Those guys are starters who should get plenty of touches, but can they overcome the crappy situations around them? more »

Bucs sign RB Edmonds to one-year deal
In the wake of LEONARD FOURNETTE’s release, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed running back CHASE EDMONDS to a one-year deal for the veteran minimum of $1.08 million. Edmonds, 26, is… More projected as a backup to second-year speedster RACHAAD WHITE. He joins a running back room expected to feature White, fourth-year reserve KE’SHAWN VAUGHN, and perhaps a draft choice. Less

Bucs plan to release veteran RB Fournette
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly planning to release veteran running back LEONARD FOURNETTE after a disappointing 2022 season. Fournette supposedly asked the team for his release, and the Bucs appear… More to have granted his wish. Meanwhile, Bucs GM Jason Licht raved about rookie running back RACHAAD WHITE and backup KE’SHAWN VAUGHN at the scouting combine on Tuesday. Tampa Bay will also save about $3.5 million on the salary cap by releasing Fournette. Less

Fantasy News: Player turnover
With fantasy football, the tendency is to gravitate to what happened last year. A player gains a bunch of yards or scores a lot of touchdowns, and the natural inclination is to push him up draft boards the next summer. more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term RB rankings
It can be debated whether Leonard Fournette or Rachaad White will be better for the duration of the season. Fournette has more experience, while White just started ahead of him for first time last week. I consider them to be a one-two punch (and while White ran for over 100 yards in Munich, I thought Fournette was the more impressive of the two in that game). more »
