Wilson, Seahawks agree to new deal

The Seattle Seahawks and quarterback RUSSELL WILSON came to an agreement on a new contract late Monday night that will keep Wilson with the team through the 2023 season. The new four-year, $140 million contract extension makes Wilson the highest-paid player in the history of the NFL.

Seahawks sign Paxton Lynch

The Seattle Seahawks signed former first-round pick PAXTON LYNCH to compete for the backup quarterback position behind RUSSELL WILSON. Last year’s backup quarterback, BRETT HUNDLEY, is set to be a free agent. Despite the high draft pick, Lynch was a bust during his time in Denver.

Wilson perfect in Seahawks win

Seattle quarterback RUSSELL WILSON finished Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions with a perfect QB rating of 158.3. While that probably doesn’t count for any bonus fantasy points, Wilson’s fantasy owners should be pleased with his 3 touchdown passes.

The Seattle Seahawks signed quarterback STEPHEN MORRIS, meaning that starter RUSSELL WILSON will no longer be the only quarterback on the roster. Seattle released previous backup TREVONE BOYKIN in March following domestic violence issues. Morris has never played in a regular season NFL game.
