Around the NFL: Mid-round running backs
A story over the weekend that Titans' 2022 fourth-round running back Hassan Haskins has been arrested on domestic violence charges. We'll see how that shakes out, but Tennessee had already hedged its bets on that pick by selecting Tyjae Spears in the third round this year. It got me wondering on the hit rate for running backs drafted in those rounds. more »

Factoid: Slower running backs
A couple of the running backs drafted in the first three rounds this year turned in less than ideal 40 times at the NFL combine. Zach Charbonnet (4.53) and Tank Bigsby (pictured; 4.56) are on the slow side, certainly compared to first-rounders Jahmyr Gibbs (4.36) and Bijan Robinson (4.46). Does it matter? more »

Fantasy News: Rookie running backs
Four running backs were selected in the third round, and that’s a tricky area of the draft. Players selected in that area aren’t guaranteed to do much of anything. Trey Sermon and Tyrion Davis-Price, as recent examples, were picked in that round. But on the other hand, Alvin Kamara and Kareem Hunt were third-round picks. more »
