WR Austin remains with Rams

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver TAVON AUSTIN agreed to restructure his contract and will remain with the team. Austin, who turned 27 last week, was expected to be released or traded because of a high salary and low production last season. Instead, Austin remains with the Rams for 2018.

Factoid: First-round receivers

The Rams are expected to release Tavon Austin. Any takers? He’s a former top-10 pick, but he’s been around for five years without being able to get his career off the ground. It was shocking when the team signed him to a four-year extension worth $42 million prior to the 2016 season.  more »

Watkins, Austin cleared from concussion protocol

Los Angeles wide receivers SAMMY WATKINS and TAVON AUSTIN were cleared from the NFL’s concussion protocol, returned to practice, and are set to play on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Both players were concussed during last week’s game against San Francisco. Fantasy owners can plan accordingly.
