Factoid: Ryan Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill is an unusual quarterback – shockingly good last year. But in the drafts I’ve seen, it’s been a buyer’s market for him. If you want to pick him up late as a second quarterback, he’ll be there for you.  more »

Around the NFL: Corey Davis

Corey Davis is opening training camp on the PUP list. This should only increase the demand for A.J. Brown, who looked pretty special as a rookie. Brown is one of those second-year pass catchers who could be ready to emerge as a true superstar.  more »

Ian Allan: Sophomore slump?

Who’s up for a second-year receiver? There were a bunch of rookie pass catchers who had big seasons last year. How much improvement (if any) should be expected from these guys?  more »

“Sky is the limit” for Titans WR Brown

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. BROWN says the “sky is the limit” as he heads into his second NFL season. Brown was the only 1,000-yard rookie receiver in 2019, and heMore became the first rookie since 1970 to have 1,000 yards and average more than 20 yards per reception. Brown finished third in the Offensive Rookie of the Year voting behind KYLER MURRAY and JOSH JACOBS. Less

Factoid: Rookie receivers

It was a good year for rookie receivers. Three of them went for 900-plus yards, and three others also have very bright futures. Overall, a much deep group than what’s typically seen.   more »

Tannehill, Brown lead Titans vs. Texans

Tennessee quarterback RYAN TANNEHILL wasn’t as sharp on Sunday against the Houston Texans as he has been of late, but he did manage 3 total touchdowns to help his fantasy owners.More Rookie wide receiver A.J. BROWN had a season-high in targets (13) and receptions (8), finishing with an impressive 114 receiving yards and a touchdown. DERRICK HENRY played while nursing a hamstring injury, but he failed to top 100 rushing yards and he did not find the end zone. Less

Titans offense explodes vs. Raiders

The Tennessee Titans offense piled up a season high 552 yards in Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders. Sunday marked the fourth straight game in which the Titans scored more than 30 points. RYAN TANNEHILL, DERRICK HENRY, and wide receiver A.J. BROWN led the way for the Titans.

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term WR rankings

When I look at the rookie receivers, I don’t see a standout player. I see a top tier of four players: Hollywood Brown, Terry McLaurin and the two Mississippi guys – DK Metcalf and A.J. Brown. If I were walking into a dynasty draft today, I would be torn between those guys.  more »

Dynasty Leagues: Wide receiver rankings

Halfway through the season, I don’t see a rookie wide receiver I’m confident will turn into an elite, top-shelf player. (At the receiver position, that top tier is filled with guys who can be counted on to regularly challenge for 100-plus catches and double-digit touchdowns.) But I do see four that I think will be pretty good.  more »

Factoid: A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf

It was a little disappointing when A.J. Brown was drafted by the Tennessee Titans. That's long been a lesser passing game and iffy quarterback situation, plus they seem to already have a No. 1 wideout in Corey Davis. Had Brown gone to Seattle, like Mississippi teammate D.K. Metcalf, and we'd be talking about a potential top-5 pick in rookie drafts.   more »

Factoid: Campbell looks super

I will be interested to see where Parris Campbell goes in the draft. I haven’t heard a ton about him – I’m thinking early second round – but with his measurables he looks like he’s got a chance to be the best of the rookie receivers.   more »
