Around the NFL: Josh Jacobs

It looks like I'm going to have Josh Jacobs on a lot of teams this year. Every story that comes out about him is negative, with a new one every day. What's interesting is that none of them actually have anything to do with him, but with people's expectations about the Raiders backfield.   more »

Around the NFL: Ameer Abdullah

The Raiders plan to release Kenyan Drake, and that has me thinking Ameer Abdullah could be a sneaky decent depth pick in PPR drafts. I’m thinking Abdullah will catch a decent number of passes as a third-down back.  more »

Two Patriots running backs enter concussion protocol

New England running backs DAMIEN HARRIS and RHAMONDRE STEVENSON have both entered the NFL’s concussion protocol after suffering concussions late in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Running backs coach IvanMore Fears said on Tuesday that the availability of both players for this Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns is “a big question mark”. If the Patriots are without Harris and/or Stevenson, second year back J.J. TAYLOR will likely be active after not playing the last two weeks. BRANDON BOLDEN could also see an increased role. Less

Veteran special teamer BRANDON BOLDEN saw the largest uptick in playing time in White’s absence, a trend that could continue in the weeks ahead. Less

With DION LEWIS leaving via free-agency, Burkhead has a chance for aMore significant fantasy role in 2018. JAMES WHITE, MIKE GILLISLEE and BRANDON BOLDEN also remain under contract but Burkhead seems to be a notch above those guys. Less

Gillislee, Burkhead out vs. Jets

New England running backs MIKE GILLISLEE and REX BURKHEAD have both been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. With fellow running back JAMES WHITE questionable, the only sure bets against the Jets will be DION LEWIS and BRANDON BOLDEN. Fantasy owners take note.
