Factoid: Wide Receivers

I saw the blub go by on the weekend, speculating about Phillip Dorsett as a deep threat, and it caught my eye. He’s only 5-foot-10, and typically with receivers having success on longer passes, I think about them being taller guys.  more »

Factoid: Preston Williams

In the first full week of the preseason, Preston Williams was the player who surprised me the most. He wasn’t even drafted, but he looks like he might be Miami’s most productive wide receiver.   more »

Dolphins add WR Hurns

The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver ALLEN HURNS on Friday, just days after he was released by the Dallas Cowboys. Hurns said he’s 100 percent healthy, adding that he was clearedMore in the spring after his 2018 season ended with a foot injury in January. Hurns will look to earn a roster spot in a Dolphins wide receiver corps that includes KENNY STILLS, DEVANTE PARKER, JAKEEM GRANT, ALBERT WILSON, and BRICE BUTLER. Less

Factoid: DeVante Parker

DeVante Parker will always be a former first-round pick. The Dolphins selected him with the 14th pick of the 2015 draft. But four years in, it looks safe to file away any hopes or expectations that he’ll ever develop into a difference-making type of wide receiver.   more »

Factoid: Jarvis Landry

The Browns traded for Jarvis Landry at the start of the offseason. He cost them fourth- and seventh-round picks; not too expensive. But it looks like he might be playing for them on just the one-year franchise tender, and won't necessarily be with the team long-term. After leading the league with 112 receptions last year, odds are against him being similarly productive in 2018.   more »
