Around the NFL: James Cook
James Cook, if the training camp hype is to be believed, will be Buffalo’s most productive running back. But I am leery. He wasn’t a full-time back at Georgia, and he doesn’t have the build of a typical starting running back. more »

Bills RB Hines to miss 2023 season with knee injury
Buffalo Bills running back NYHEIM HINES will miss the 2023 season after suffering a significant knee injury in a jet ski accident. Hines was reportedly sitting stationary on a jet ski… More and was struck by another rider, sustaining a serious but non-life-threatening injury. Hines is believed to have suffered an ACL injury in his left knee, with surgery likely to occur shortly. Hines was expected to be a pass-catching option out of the backfield behind fellow running backs JAMES COOK, DAMIEN HARRIS, and LATAVIUS MURRAY. Less

Around the NFL: Bills running backs
The Bills have a theoretical breakout candidate at running back in last year's second-rounder James Cook (pictured). They have a couple of capable veteran runners in Damien Harris and Latavius Murray, and another versatile guy in Nyheim Hines. But will they have a good fantasy back? That seems less likely. more »

Bills add veteran RB Murray
The Buffalo Bills signed veteran running back LATAVIUS MURRAY to a one-year deal to join the team earlier this week. The 10-year NFL veteran spent last season playing for the Broncos… More and Saints, while making minor contributions to fantasy owners that gave him an occasional starting nod. Murray joins a crowded running back room in Buffalo, along with fellow rushers JAMES COOK, NYHEIM HINES, and DAMIEN HARRIS. Less

Bills sign former Patriots RB Harris
The Buffalo Bills signed free agent and former New England running back DAMIEN HARRIS this week, where he will join a backfield room that also includes fellow rushers JAMES COOK and… More NYHEIM HINES. After rushing for 15 touchdowns in 2021, Harris fell behind RHAMONDRE STEVENSON in New England’s backfield last season. Harris said that he expects to take his game to “a new height” in Buffalo. Less

Around the NFL: Damien Harris
The Bills signed Damien Harris yesterday, and I'm a fan of the move. It's not always that you can sign a 15-touchdown, just turned 26 years old running back a week into free agency. Harris didn't get a second contract in New England, but I think he's an underrated player, at a position of need for Buffalo. more »

Around the NFL: Nyheim Hines
In what was probably the busiest trading deadline day ever in the NFL, a lot of running backs changed teams. (No, not Cam Akers.) Chase Edmonds to Denver, Jeff Wilson to Miami, and Nyheim Hines from the Colts to the Buffalo Bills. That's the most surprising one. more »

Around the NFL: Running backs, at last
No running backs were selected in Round 1 of the NFL Draft, which wasn't a huge surprise. Some thought 1-2 might slip in late in the round, but it wasn't to be. But those backs -- Iowa State's Breece Hall, Michigan State's Kenneth Walker -- did go in last night's second round, and four more were gone by the end of Day 2. more »
