Giants WR Slayton sees himself as possible WR1

New York Giants wide receiver DARIUS SLAYTON said recently that he believes he can be the go-to target in a wide receiving corps that is generally seen as lacking a trueMore WR1 option. Slayton, who re-signed with the Giants this offseason, is part of a crowded wideout room in New York that also includes STERLING SHEPARD, WAN’DALE ROBINSON, ISAIAH HODGINS, PARRIS CAMPBELL, JAMISON CROWDER, and third-round pick JALIN HYATT (among others). While Slayton’s confidence is admirable, fantasy owners will want to monitor the situation throughout training camp and the preseason. Less

Around the NFL: Giants wide receivers

Looking at the Giants offense, I'm perplexed as to who their top wide receiver will be. They have a lot of different guys who have done stuff in the past, and several guys who they're hoping will do stuff in the future. But hard to be confident any will do it this year.   more »

Giants add veteran slot receiver Crowder

The New York Giants signed veteran slot receiver JAMISON CROWDER to a one-year deal late last week as the team continues to add depth to the wide receiver corps. Crowder isMore a proven wideout who has shown an ability to work the middle of the field and get open while playing for the Washington Commanders, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills over the past handful of seasons. Crowder played in just four games for the Bills last year before an ankle injury ended his season. His best season came in 2019, when he had 78 catches for 833 yards and 6 touchdowns for the Jets. Around the NFL: Isaiah McKenzie

We haven’t seen them in a preseason game yet, but the training camp reports suggest Isaiah McKenzie is beating out Jamison Crowder for the slot role with the Bills. With the kind of numbers Josh Allen should put up, that makes McKenzie a potentially relevant player.  more »

WR Crowder to produce for Bills in slot role?

While ISAIAH MCKENZIE is the Buffalo Bills top incumbent slot receiver, veteran newcomer JAMISON CROWDER has a chance to produce working in a high-powered offense for the first time in hisMore career. Crowder has had productive seasons even while playing for the likes of the Commanders and Jets during his seven-year NFL career. While McKenzie is the slight favorite to start heading into training camp, Crowder could be one to watch in the weeks ahead. Less

Around the NFL: Jets in holding pattern

Couple of surprises when the Jets returned to practice today. They're a lesser team, of course, but their top wideout and starting running back could have value against the Saints this week. But those players are looking iffy right now.   more »

Factoid: Braxton Berrios

Jamison Crowder won’t play for the Jets today, and that makes Braxton Berrios look like a sneaky decent fill-in option – at least in PPR formats.  more »

Around the NFL: Jamison Crowder

The probability of Elijah Moore ripping it up as a rookie has gone down. The Jets have gotten Jamison Crowder to agree to a pay cut, making it less likely that Moore will be starting on opening day.  more »

Jets WR Crowders misses OTAs as contract issues continue

The New York Jets and wide receiver JAMISON CROWDER continue to haggle over his contract, as the veteran wideout continues to skip the team’s spring program. The Jets want Crowder toMore take a pay cut from the $10 million he is scheduled to make this year. Since Crowder’s contract is not guaranteed, the Jets could cut him at any time. While head coach Robert Saleh does not want to part ways with Crowder, the Jets did draft slot receiver ELIJAH MOORE in the second round. Less

Factoid: Jamison Crowder

Jamison Crowder should show up on a whole lot of Fantasy Index teams this year. He's not a particularly exciting option, but opportunity counts for a lot. He should lead the Jets in targets and catches, and those guys tend to be the best receivers (even if the receptions are of the short variety).   more »
